Fibonacci Spiral Pentacle with Flush set 3mm Elemental Stones Handcrafted in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold

The Pentacle is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. It is worn as a ward of protection and as a focal point to connect with the spiritual realm. Additionally the binding circle of this talisman is shaped from 5 Fibonacci spirals, which represent the golden ratio and the mathematical constant for form in the natural world. These elements combined into a single piece signify balance not only between the elemental forces but within the natural world and self. The spirals of the outer ring rise above and overlay the pentacle on one side, this offers a completely different view from the opposite side where the pentacle is more apparent. At each of the pentacle's points is flush mounted 3mm round cut faceted stone representing an element. Blue Sapphire = Water, Emerald = Earth, White Sapphire = Air, Ruby = Fire. Akasha is represented as a 14K Golden spiral with a 2mm Black Spinel mounted in the center.

Each of these pendants begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in Sterling Silver or Bronze using the lost wax casting method. The stone setting and bail are fabricated by hand and different metal components fitted together and soldered in place. After the stones are set the piece is finished by hand. After all finishing work is completed it is coated in a layer of black patina to emphasize the recessed portions of the design. The raised portions are brought back to a high polish in contrast. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at the Drakenforge studio.
