1.4 inch Pentacle with Fibonacci Spirals and Rivets Handcrafted in Sterling Silver and 14K Gold

The Pentacle is a symbol of a star normally within circle, always with 5 points (one pointing upward). Each point has its own meaning, the upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. It is worn as a ward of protection and as a focal point of connection with the spiritual realm. The binding circle of this talisman is shaped from 5 Fibonacci spirals, which represent the golden ratio and the mathematical constant for form in the natural world. I designed this piece intending for the different elements to combine in such a way to signify balance, not only between the elemental forces and natural world outside ourselves but the inner world of our heart, mind and bodies.

The spirals of the outer ring rise above and overlay the pentacle on one side. This offers a completely different view from the opposite side where the pentacle is more apparent. At each of the pentacle's points are 16 gauge Sterling Silver rivets

- The Standard bail for this piece is a 5.5mm round 16 gauge jump ring which has been soldered (profile pic), but as pictured with this piece I sell an upgraded looped bail which can be purchased from a separate listing and added onto this pendant. The upgraded bail is handmade from 20 gauge sterling sheet and comes with a stainless steel chain. It is decorated with a 14K gold spiral, here is the link:

Each of these pendants begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in Sterling Silver or Bronze using the lost wax casting method. The stone setting and bail are fabricated by hand and different metal components fitted together and soldered in place. After the stone is set, the piece is finished by hand. After all finishing work is completed it is coated in a layer of black patina to emphasize the recessed portions of the design. The raised portions are brought back to a high polish in contrast. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at the Drakenforge studio.
