Elven Star Pendant in Silver or Mixed Metals

OVERVIEW
The Elven Star, also known as the Faery Star or Septagram, is a seven-pointed star (heptagram) used in various esoteric, spiritual, and magical traditions. It has deep symbolic meaning across different systems of thought. The number seven carries sacred significance in many cultures and mythologies. It often represents mystery, intuition, and connection to the unseen realms.

Common symbolic associations include:
The Seven Directions – north, south, east, west, above, below, and within (used in ritual work and sacred space creation)
The Seven Classical Planets – Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn
The Seven Chakras – energy centers in the human body
The Seven Elements (in some traditions): earth, air, fire, water, spirit, light, shadow

In Faery or Elven traditions, it’s viewed as a gateway between the human and fae realms, symbolizing the balance between the mundane and the magical.

In modern Paganism, particularly in paths like Faery Wicca, Feri Tradition, and Celtic-inspired neo-Pagan practices, the Elven Star serves as:
A sacred protective symbol
A representation of otherworldly wisdom
A map of spiritual exploration — linking the practitioner to natural and otherworldly forces
Some Wiccans use it as an alternative to the pentagram (five-pointed star). While the pentagram often represents balance of the five elements, the septagram reaches further — symbolizing spiritual evolution, transcendence, and the mysteries beyond the material world.
Different traditions assign various meanings to each point. A common Pagan interpretation:
Earth – stability, grounding
Air – intellect, inspiration
Fire – will, transformation
Water – emotion, intuition
Spirit – divine connection
Light – illumination, truth
Shadow – mystery, the unseen
Some Feri practitioners view the seven points as representing seven sacred virtues or powers, such as Power, Passion, Wisdom, Love, Knowledge, Law, and Connection.

Each of these pendants begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in Sterling Silver or Bronze using the lost wax casting method. The stone settings and bail are fabricated by hand and different metal components fitted together and soldered in place. After the stones are set the piece is finished by hand. After all finishing work is completed it is coated in a layer of black patina to emphasize the recessed portions of the design then the raised portions are brought back to a high polish in contrast. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at the Drakenforge studio.

GEMSTONES:
I am trying something new with the Gemstone selections available for this piece. This listing is for the basic pendant without gemstones. In either all silver or mixed metals, the basic pendant displays seven rivets at each point of the Elven Star. Rivets can be replaced with 2mm round cut gemstones and/or a larger 5mm round cut stone can be mounted in the center of the pentacle.
You must decide how many stone settings you wish to include on your pendant when you purchase this listing because it will include the cost of the stone settings. If you are confused please do not be shy about sending me a message so we can clarify which version of the piece you will need to order to get the style you want.

BAIL OPTIONS:
The Standard bail for this piece is a 5.5mm round 16 gauge jump ring which has been soldered closed (profile pic). Also pictured, I sell two upgraded looped bails which can be purchased from a separate listing and added onto this pendant just like the stones. The upgraded bails are handmade from 22 gauge sterling sheet and comes with an adjustable 16-18 inch stainless steel chain. One is decorated with a 14K gold spiral, the other is a all silver textured design, here is the link:
