Hand Forged Autumn Inspired Oak Leaf and Acorn Necklace in Brass, Bronze, Copper, and Sterling Silver

In mythology, the Oak symbolizes truth, courage and wisdom. This derives from the Ancient Celts, who observed the Oak’s incredible strength, beauty and noble presence.

The oak tree is much revered in Celtic mythology for its strength and longevity. Known as the ‘King of the Forest’, for thousands of years the Druids worshiped the Oak as their most sacred tree. The word Druid actually comes from the Celtic word for Oak, ‘Duir’. The Druids also believed that the Oak tree is host to the strength and energy of their gods and so to catch a falling Oak leaf brings good luck and prosperity.

Why catch a single leaf when you can catch two with this one of a kind necklace, hand forged in copper, brass, sterling and bronze. The brass wire has been soldered to each leaf then formed to link the leaves together. The Acorn is cast in Brass from a real acorn gathered from an oak tree in the Shenandoah mountains near the Appalachian Trail. You can choose overall length of the necklace chain which is 3.2mm flat elongated cable chain (not exactly as pictured but close in appearance.) The chain and all linkages are soldered closed with solid sterling silver jump rings, a lobster claw closure attaches to a larger jump ring for ease of function. You can choose the length of the necklace chain which best suits you.

Each of these necklaces I create is a one of a kind and can vary slightly. All work is done by me in studio so if you have any suggestions or requests for changes and modifications to materials please contact me.
