Handmade Om Pendant in Sterling Silver and Bronze with outer braided band with 14K Bezel set Round Cut Stone

In Hinduism, the symbol "Om" is a sacred sound and mantra that represents the beginning of creation and the essence of consciousness and reality. It is often referred to as the prime symbol of Hinduism and is chanted at the beginning and end of mantras, prayers, Sanskrit recitations, and texts. It is also chanted during meditation and yoga.
The symbol has five parts:
Upper curve: Represents the unconscious or deep sleep state
Lower large curve: Represents the waking state of consciousness
Middle curve: Represents the dream state
Three syllables: A-U-M are said to represent the trinity of the three major gods: Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer)
Crescent: Represents maya, which is the illusion that binds a soul to the material world
Some say that by chanting "Om", one can transcend the three curves of material consciousness and attain the dot of enlightenment. Others say that chanting "Om" connects people to their practice in a deeper way, creating a spiritual bond that goes beyond the physical asanas.
"Om" is also used in other faiths, including Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. In Jainism, it is used as a liberating mantra to praise ascetic monks, acharyas, and Tirthankaras. In Sikhism, it is equated with God, referred to as Oankar, and is incorporated into inner prayer.

I offer two styles/ metal combinations for this piece. The first is 100% Sterling Silver, the second is a multi-metal fabrication with a Bronze outer Braided Ring and the Om in Silver. Both styles of this pendant feature a 14k Gold Bezel setting for the 3mm round cut faceted stone. Choose from a variety of available stone options or no stone setting at all.

The Standard bail for this piece is a 5.5mm round 16 gauge jump ring which has been soldered (profile pic), I also sell an upgraded looped bail which can be purchased from a separate listing and added onto this pendant. The upgraded bail is handmade from 20 gauge sterling sheet and comes with an adjustable 16-18 inch stainless steel chain. It is decorated with a 14K gold spiral, here is the link:

Each of these pendants begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in Sterling Silver or Bronze using the lost wax casting method. The stone setting and bail are fabricated by hand and different metal components fitted together and soldered in place. After the stone is set the piece is finished by hand. After all finishing work is completed it is coated in a layer of black patina to emphasize the recessed portions of the design then the raised portions are brought back to a high polish in contrast. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at the Drakenforge studio.
