Handmade Witches Knot Pendant with Fibonacci Spiral Ring in Sterling Silver and Bronze or 14K

The history of the Witches Knot is steeped in magic and mystery. Its exact origins are veiled in the annals of time, making it an intriguing symbol for those drawn to the mystical arts. The symbol has been utilized by practitioners of various occult and pagan traditions for centuries, and its usage has transcended cultures and geographical boundaries. This four-cornered Celtic knot has many attributes, representing among other things the four main Gaelic seasonal festivals; Four Druidic gods who each rule a quadrant of the earth; Good luck, as in a four-leaf clover; The four elements: earth, wind, fire and water; The four seasons; North, south, east and west, and has general associations with neo pagans involving such qualities as protection, binding/banishing, inner strength, and focus. Additionally the binding circle of this talisman is shaped from 4 Fibonacci spirals, which represent the golden ratio and the mathematical constant for form in the natural world. These elements combined into a single piece signify balance not only between the elemental forces and the natural world and that of the higher self.

This piece can be created in a Bi-Metal Sterling Silver and Antique bronze, or from solid .925 Sterling plus I offer two standard variations of this piece, one being the Knot and Spiral ring with no stone settings. The other version has additional stone settings, a 3mm stone at each corner denoting the elemental associations of the cardinal directions. You can choose the order of the elemental stones, just include a note when purchasing letting me know how you would like them situated. The stones I normally use for this piece are White Sapphire, Blue Sapphire, Emerald, and Garnet. You can choose any other stones you wish, it may affect price.

The Standard bail for this piece is a 5.5mm round 16 gauge jump ring which has been soldered (profile pic), but also pictured, I sell an upgraded looped bail which can be purchased from a separate listing and added onto this pendant. The upgraded bail is handmade from 20 gauge sterling sheet and comes with an adjustable 16-18 inch stainless steel chain. It is decorated with a 14K gold spiral, here is the link:

Each of these pendants begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in Sterling Silver or Bronze using the lost wax casting method. The stone setting and bail are fabricated by hand and different metal components fitted together and soldered in place. After the stone is set the piece is finished by hand. After all finishing work is completed it is coated in a layer of black patina to emphasize the recessed portions of the design then the raised portions are brought back to a high polish in contrast. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at the Drakenforge studio.
