Handmade Sterling Silver Ring with Slanted Bezel set 10x5 Marquise cut Stone

Here is another example of why I love taking in custom work. The customer who came up with this ring design needed an engagement ring and really liked one of my similar designs with a larger stone and straight setting. She wanted a smaller stone and more dynamic setting, this is what we came up with. I modified my unique split bezel design to accomodate a smaller 10x5 marquise stone and slanted the setting to make it more dynamic. Without this customer's input I probably would never have come up with this design.

This ring offers an alternative to traditional prong or bezel settings which are the norm for this style of stone. The hybrid between the traditional prong setting and partial bezel setting with a wide opening in the back which allows ample light to shine through the stone even while being worn. The stone is fully visible yet fully protected on all sides including the termination points which prevents chipping and snagging on clothing.

Each of these rings begin as a unique wax model which is then cast in 100% sterling silver. The stone is set and ring sized and finished by hand. All of the work from the wax model to the casting and finishing is performed by me in house at DrakenForge Studios.
